Catalyst

Catalyst

In this exhibition, many artists are discussing the changes caused by time. Time is one of the natural catalysts for the changes, an inevitable force to be reckoned with. Nevertheless, time is the most apparent catalyst. Increase or decrease in height, different senses, deconstruction of materials, dimensional transformation, and many more are considered as catalysts that could stimulate the leap. In this chapter, we expect a discussion in which artists visualized different kinds of catalysts.

Mutation: Higher State

Mutation: Higher State

The core of Quantum Leap is the movement inherent in the leap itself. In the first chapter, we are more focused on the leap process. While in this chapter, the artworks will be more about the result of the mutation. As our core idea of this exhibition, mutation here is different from the definition in biology, which is neither complimentary nor derogatory. Also, the result of the mutation is just as a Higher state without any judgments. In this chapter, we will see the exploration of the traditional Chinese ink painting, a re-creation of classic elements or images, and reflection and critical thinking of the current Black Swan Incident in the world. Each art piece or design work is a Higher State because it represents the accumulation of the artists' rumination. Their creativity is the catalyst to stimulate a jump into the Higher State. We sincerely hope our audience will experience a mutation of a quantum leap as well through this exhibition.
